Hey there!

I’m Essie. I started this journey after I realized I had achieved many life goals but found myself ultimately without a plan for my long-term financial goals. I am in the legal profession in a job I’m proud of at a law firm I love. I’m a mother to three boys who keep me on my toes, a member of the sandwich generation as I share my home with my parents, and a wife to the love of my life and my complete opposite.

Unlike many cash budget channels and entrepreneurs, my goal is not to join the FIRE movement or to be debt free as fast as possible. 
I believe there is good debt, I believe in taking financial risks, and I believe in spending on the things I love. My favorite quote which guides my mantra to Empower and Elevate is the following:

In the past six months, I’ve been learning as much as I can about budgeting, financial strategies, and assessing my spending priorities and risk tolerance. I hope anyone who follows my journey can feel empowered by the information I have learned, the strategies I employ, and the bumps I will inevitably hit to elevate their financial strategy and reach their goals.
